The whole range of Downlight luminaires is manufactured as a modular system, where there is a great possibility of combining light sources, diffusion grids or turbo-rails and light-active covers, which provides the luminaire with a higher degree of IP protection and at the same time prevents the light source glass from spilling on the ground. Downlights can be divided according to the type of light sources into incandescent, fluorescent for compact sources, e.g. Philisp PL-C or Osram Dulux D with G24d sockets for two-pin fluorescent lamps working on an electromagnetic ballast and G24q sockets i.e. 4-pin fluorescent lamps working only on electronic ballast. Another light source used in this type of lighting are discharge downlights for compact metal halide discharge sources for single-pin and two-pin sockets. For discharge downlights we have two types of ballasts. Inductors i.e. electromagnetic transformer with ignition device a compact electronic ballasts. The last group, and the most unsold today, are the led downlights. These luminaires, thanks to developmental leaps in led technology, easily replace fluorescent luminaires and in various cases we can replace discharge lamps currently comparable to 70W discharge lamps. Here, we can offer a full range of light outputs from 800lm to 4800lm, colour rendering from the warmest shade of 2700°K to daylight 6500°K with different colour rendering, most often Ra80 and Ra90. Led luminaires have undeniable advantages over discharge and fluorescent luminaires in terms of the use of luminaires in areas where fluorescent and discharge lamps are not suitable. Led downlights can be easily connected to various sensors or motion sensors without limiting the life of the luminaire during switching cycles. Another indisputable advantage is the easy regulation of the lighting intensity both manually and with the help of the system.
There is a whole range of internal equipment options from choke versions, versions with electronic ballast and here we have additional options of fitting electronic ballasts with the possibility of regulation, i.e. dimming using an analogue sysgnall with 1-10V control output or a more sophisticated Dali system, i.e. a digital bus system controlled by a pre-set program. Another possible electrical option for these types of fluorescent downlights is the fitting of an emergency module with the NZ designation. The application for use is wide, from mounting in mineral ceilings to any plasterboard ceilings, or we can also mount them in wooden ceilings thanks to the materials used and the mark 
which is a mark of possible mounting on combustible substrates.
